What does gallery wrapped mean?
A gallery-wrapped canvas is stretched around a sturdy wooden frame, with the artwork extending and painted over the sides for a clean, modern, ready-to-hang finish—no external frame required.
Are the edges of my painting also painted?
Yes. When you order a gallery wrap, our artists hand-paint the extra 6cm edges to continue the artwork seamlessly around the sides.
Is my gallery-wrapped painting ready to hang?
Absolutely. All gallery-wrapped paintings from GFM Painting arrive fully stretched, mounted, and ready to hang straight out of the box.
Can I order a gallery wrap for a non-standard artwork size?
Yes. Simply select the closest available height and width, and we will custom-fit the gallery wrap to your artwork.
What if my artwork is larger than 40 inches?
For paintings over 40 inches, please contact us for guidance or order DIY stretching bars suitable for your size.
What materials are used for GFM Painting’s gallery wraps?
We use premium kiln-dried wooden stretcher bars and high-quality canvas to ensure durability, stability, and a professional gallery appearance.
How long does it take to complete a gallery wrap order?
Gallery-wrapped artworks are typically completed and ready to ship within our standard painting and drying timeframe, usually 2–4 weeks depending on size.
Can I choose between a gallery wrap and an unframed canvas?
Yes. You may order your painting either rolled (unframed) or stretched on a gallery wrap, depending on your preference or framing plans.
Does gallery wrapping affect the look of the artwork?
No. The main image remains exactly as painted — the continuation on the edges enhances depth and gives a professional, museum-style presentation.
How should I care for my gallery-wrapped painting?
Avoid direct sunlight, extreme humidity, or temperature changes. Gently dust the surface with a soft, dry cloth to keep your artwork looking its best for years.
